Lycée Mancy provides two levels in Equine studies

Introductory course
The 2 year introductory course is designed to give the skill and knowledge needed to work in a livery yard or riding school. Routine duties on the yard at the college will give students a taste of what it is like working with horses on a full-time basis. The school curriculum also includes several weeks of training period in an equestrian school.
Students will also be involved in yard work, guided practicals, classroom teaching, and work experience.
Entry Requirements
Students will normally be at least 16 years old on entry.

Higher Course
This course is designed for those who wish to become managers of a riding center or those willing to become employee in the equestrian and tourist structures or willing to develop a new activity on a farm, as well as those looking to progress to higher education (e.g.: vocational certificate taken after 18). It is a 2 year course with several weeks of training period (14 to 16 weeks) in private horse riding centers. These training periods can be realized in France or in any European Country.
Work Experience for introductory and higher course
Weekly routine duties on a rota basis, not during weekends, are also a part of the programme. This will involve working on the equine unit carrying out daily practical duties. Students working in the school equestrian center do not follow the weekly classes but must catch up the lessons and tests.
